Jacqueline McDonough Appointed to Hudson Valley Community College Board of Trustees

New York State Governor Kathy Hochul has appointed Jacqueline McDonough of Troy to the Hudson Valley Community College Board of Trustees. Her term extends through June 2030.

McDonough currently serves as the chief of staff to Rensselaer County District Attorney, Mary Pat Donnelly. Previously she was a national field operations manager for the Chicago-based data analytics and market research company Information Resources (IRI). In prior positions, she provided leadership to the Capital District YMCA in Albany as an executive director and vice president of Financial Development. Earlier in her career, she held positions in 招生 and 校友 Relations at Hudson Valley Community College and in the New York State Assembly Radio/TV department.

McDonough is an alumna of Hudson Valley Community College and The College of Saint Rose, and she is also a graduate of the National 领导 Institute for 领导 Development. She has also received numerous awards and earned several notable professional accolades, including the IRI-ISG PACT Award; Capital District YMCA Employee of the Year; Capital District YMCA Reach Out for Youth Award; and the Hudson Valley Community College Disabled 学生 Services Award.

McDonough has volunteered her time on several boards, including the Lansingburgh Central School Board, Rensselaer County Cooperative Extension, YWCA and the Troy Rotary where she served as president.

She brings decades of experience in both higher education, business and civic leadership to the board, and I look forward to working closely with her to advance our goals and expand programs and services for the broader community,” said Hudson Valley Community College President Roger Ramsammy.

As McDonough joins the college’s board, Brian Zweig concludes service as a college trustee that began in June 2010. The college’s 10-member Board of Trustees is appointed by the governor, who names four members, and the Rensselaer County Legislature, which names five members to serve seven-year terms. One member is elected by the student body for a one-year term.
